System & Functionality Changes
French Regulatory Domain
AMP v3.0 implements support for all valid channels when the regulatory domain
is set to France, to comply with recent regulatory changes.
Configurable Client and
Rogue AP Data Aging
AMP can now configure the aging interval (2-550 days) to determine how long
historical client and rogue data is retained. The period is configured on the AMP
SetupÆGeneral page in the Historical Data section.
Client Session Report
The Client Session Report now includes the username of the end user when this
data is available.
RAPIDS OUI Database
AMP v3.0 integrates an OUI database that identifies the manufacturer of rogue
access points and client devices.
Red Hat 9.0
AMP v3.0 now ships with Red Hat Linux version 9.0 rather than version 8.0.
User Interface Enhancements
AMP v3.0 makes changes to the web UI for enhanced usability and scalability,
including:
• The “Edit” and “Manage” links have been replaces with icons
• VLAN configurations are now managed under the Group page allowing
greater VLAN management flexibility
• The RADIUS Server section has been moved to the GroupÆSecurity
page
• The APÆManual Create page has been changed to a single pull-down
box on the AP SetupÆCreate page.
• Users must enter a “Max Associations” value when adding a new VLAN
• The AMP SetupÆUsers page has been added to allow administrators to
authorize multiple AMP users.
AMP Software License Keys
New AirWave customers and prospects conducting software evaluations will now
need to enter a license key when installing AMP. The permanent license key for
use with a purchased version of AMP is provided in the packaging shipped by
AirWave, and is entered on the HomeÆLicense page. Prospects using evaluation
copies of AMP will receive license keys valid for 30 days. If the evaluation period
needs to be extended, the prospective customer must contact his AirWave sales
representative or Value Added Reseller. NOTE: This change applies to new AMP
v3.0 customers and prospects, and will not affect existing AirWave customers.
Freeradius RPM
AMP v3.0 uses version -1.0.0-pre3 of the freeradius RPM.
